Virginia Beach Family Emergency Shelter Team

As we have come to the close of 2015 our church has made an impact on the community serving others with love and generosity. Thank you to everyone who has participated in this most worth-while endeavor.

The Banana Box's for the singles' Crescent Square apartments was a success. We ended up having 74 boxes that were donated though many Virginia Beach churches. Memorial UMC donated 8 of those boxes. As you know we have the BEACH closet housed here at Memorial. Many churches donate items or monetary do-nations to keep the closet full with items for the homeless folks who finally have a place to call home for the first time. If you or someone you know are down sizing, moving or just have things they would like to get rid of, please think about giving to the closet for those less fortunate. If you are interested in helping or donating to the BEACH closet please talk with Kay Bess.

During 2016 I hope we will be able to serve in Mission even more than in 2015. Thanking you in advance for all you do to help in all of God's work here at Memorial.  Happy New Year to all.

thank you
Thank you to our Cub Scout Pack 418 for supporting our food closet with their food drive and to the youth for stocking the closet with the food.
